My creative journey…

I have been a little bit lost of late.  I guess you could call it creatively confused.  I often hide my true passions from people, but I have so many creative addictions that I need to share…

I started this blog with the intention of sharing sneak peeks of my client’s images from their photo sessions- I will keep sharing these sneak peeks of course, one of my favourite things to blog.  I also want to start sharing so much more… I want to share more of my thoughts, inspirations, fears and dreams…and of course my images… This will include sharing the work of my fellow creative souls I have met along the way.  If you would like to be featured on my blog please email me at beezid@bigpond.net.au I would love to hear from you!

I have been so lucky to meet and connect with so many talented and creative people from across the world via workshops, travel and of course via the internet.  I want to introduce you to these amazing people via my blog.  So make sure you come back and visit as often as you can…

The first fellow creative souls I want to share with you are Deb Schwedhelm and Leah Zawadzki– I was lucky enough to attend their first Wallflower Friends Photography Retreat at the 29 Palms Inn at the Joshua Tree National Park in the United States. These amazing ladies have such beautiful souls and I was so lucky and blessed to have had the opportunity to be apart of this amazing weekend. This retreat helped me rediscover myself and re-ignite my creativity.  Visit my Wallflower Friend’s post to view some of my photographs from the weekend.

Deb and Leah are super excited to announce their next wallflower friends in fall 2010 retreat.  This retreat will be at the amazing Sundance Resort in Utah, USA. If you want to be part of this retreat they only have 12 openings so make sure you visit their wallflower friends website for more information.

I met 15 of the most amazing and talented photographers during this retreat.  I couldn’t help but feel happy, safe and ready to bare my inner fears, thoughts and ideas when I was around these beautiful ladies.  Over the coming weeks I will share their amazing talent with you.

I have quite a journey ahead of me and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

Starving Artist Ink

I came across the talent of Erin only a couple of days ago and instantly fell in love with her work, so I would love to share her work with you. This is a little bit about Erin from her blog http://starvingartistink.com/ “When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a great many things… Mostly though, what I am is a dreamer, a lover, an artist, a wife. I’m told that I’ve been here before, that my soul is older than my body. Who knows really- I’m just in it for the ride. To discover and capture as much beauty on this earth as I can. I strongly believe that your dreams can come true, and I firmly believe in living uniquely-taking chances, following your heart. I believe in asking questions-I don’t think that it is right, or fair to go through life following the flock. Step up, look around, ask questions. If I could have any ‘pet peeve’-it would be following blindly. If you don’t have an answer to why you do things, or-better yet, you don’t believe the answer you have just given-then find one, find a good one. I love to learn about new places, new cultures, new…anything. If I’m not right about something, or if you have opposing ideas on something I’ve said-I’d like to talk about it. I want you to teach me something, and in turn-I want to teach you something. Let’s listen, and shake hands, and walk away with a different frame of mind. Ignorance is one of the ugliest traits, be open to the idea that none of us are right, nor wrong on a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. I’m shy, and vulnerable, and I keep my heart out in the open… I have so much love to give to you, and all the rest-if only you can offer me the same gesture” Following is a link to her sites – and her etsy shop, where you can purchase her works of art… stop by and take a look, I’m sure she would love to hear from you! http://www.starvingartistink.com http://www.erindarcyphotography.com http://www.flickr.com/photos/edarcy http://www.edarcydesign.etsy.com
